If you are short on time and want to slip away from the hustle and bustle of the Vegas strip, I'd highly recommend this trip to the Hoover Dam! It was the perfect way to get out of the city for a few hours without committing to a full-day excursion. For planning purposes, it really is a perfect 3.5 hour trip. You'll be back in time for lunch if you do the morning tour! The small group size made the tour feel personal and relaxed (we had 6 people on our adventure). Our guide (Keith) was knowledgeable, friendly, and communicated interesting facts about Boulder City, the Mike O’Callagham - Pat Tillmam Bridge where you have the opportunity to walk up to the bridge (there is a nice ramp to take up if you don't want to do the steps) almost a 1000ft above the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Hemenway Park (to see the state animal) and the surrounding desert all along the way. He is the quintessential history nerd! We never felt rushed, yet everything was very well organized and ran smoothly. The transportation van was very comfortable and water was provided on the trip. Pick-up at select hotels was very convenient. The trip also allows you to be in both Nevada and Arizona at the same time! Note: The stop at Seven Magic Mountains should be removed from the itinerary until that option is available again. We wanted to do the optional stop at the Ugo Rondinone art installation in the middle of the Mojave Desert. We were told it is not available due to the State of Nevada limiting tours there in order to preserve the surrounding area. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a convenient, informative, and stress-free experience to see an iconic landmark.

The ride was amazing, . The guide was extremely informative telling about the history of the Hoover dam like no one else could everyone was friendly and we got some amazing pictures 10/10

Damn tour. 3 hours. Lots of knowledge, no dreaded uncomfortable chit chat. Very excellent! Highly recommend!

We had John. He called a couple of times the morning of the trip to make sure we all efficiently hooked up. Logistics were top shelf! He remember ALL those of our names. And when I say “all,” I am including the whole bus.

Talk too much about personal life No interest at all to Hoover dam. Our driver got an attitude when didn't get back in time!
